I was generously gifted a load of oak off-cuts leftover from a Border Oak housing project. The owners allowed me to take what I wanted in return for a bespoke coffee ‘stool’. Two lengths of the off-cuts were joined together, and chamfers added to the corners and edges. A fairly significant crack was stabilised with the use of two beech ‘bow-ties’.
